Caldwell Sash Company, in business since 1975, is a manufacturer of custom wood windows and custom woodworking. Originally founded by Mr. Joe Caldwell, the company was purchased by Fred Aemmer, Jr. in 1990. Fred has 50 plus years experience in construction, including residential and commercial construction as well as architectural millwork. He has taught construction skills at a non-profit organization where he worked with young adults 18 - 24 years of age and was Assistant Executive Director at Commonwealth Preservation Trades School for the State of Kentucky. However, his passion has always been custom woodworking and millwork with over 46 years experience in providing customized products. Specializing in the recreation of windows, molding and other woodwork to match originals for older homes and office buildings, our company is sought by Landmark Commissions and Historic Societies as well as individuals hoping to restore their home back to its original condition. Services We Provide The customized work provided by Caldwell Sash Company includes the construction as well as repair work utilizing Clear White Pine or Mahogany, according to customer specifications. Since Poplar is not a viable exterior wood source, it is an option for interior windows only.
